Economics Clubs Continue to Grow Across Georgia

Economics Clubs across Georgia continue to gain momentum, creating new opportunities for students to explore economics, develop critical thinking skills, and connect with peers who share an interest in understanding how the world works.

During the spring semester, more than 30 schools participated in the program, with students and teachers coming together for regular discussions and activities focused on economics and related topics. Through weekly meetings, participants explored real-world issues, exchanged ideas, and developed a deeper understanding of economic concepts in an engaging and accessible way.

A key feature of the program is its student-led approach. Each participating school is represented by a student ambassador who helps coordinate activities and encourage participation locally. Many club sessions are also led by students themselves, creating opportunities for young people to take ownership of their learning and develop leadership skills alongside their economic knowledge.

Over the course of the semester, clubs held more than ten meetings, building a growing network that connects students and educators across the country. The program continues to provide a space where students can ask questions, challenge ideas, and learn from one another while applying economic thinking to real-world issues.

As interest in the clubs continues to grow, the initiative is helping to introduce more young people to economics and to demonstrate the value of discussion-based learning beyond the classroom.

By bringing together students from different schools and backgrounds, the Economics Clubs help foster curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the economic forces that shape everyday life.
