EFI relaunches Online Learning Center – making economics easier to explore

A new look, clearer pathways and a simpler way to find practical economics resources — EFI’s redesigned Online Learning Center is now live.

Not everyone comes to economics looking for the same thing.

A student trying to understand the basics needs something different from a teacher preparing a lesson. A journalist looking for context behind an economic story has different priorities again. And sometimes, you’re simply curious about an idea and want to know more.

That thinking is at the heart of EFI’s newly relaunched Online Learning Center.

The free online platform has been redesigned to make it easier for people to find useful, accessible economics content — wherever they are starting from.

Four pathways. One Learning Center.

Rather than asking everyone to navigate the same collection of resources, the new Learning Center offers four distinct pathways:

Student – clear explanations of essential topics, including basic economic concepts, markets and competition, trade, money and personal finance.

Teacher – classroom-ready resources and activities covering core concepts, markets and institutions, policy and regulation, and economic growth and development.

Journalist – resources and insights covering economic policy, markets and public debate, and global economic stories.

Explorer – a place for anyone curious about the bigger ideas shaping our world, from economic growth and innovation to behavioral economics and the global economy.

The idea is simple: choose the pathway that best fits you and start exploring.

Less searching. More learning.

The redesign isn’t only about how the Learning Center looks.

Resources are now organized by audience and topic, with search and filtering tools designed to help users get to relevant content more quickly. The Center brings together short videos and accessible explanations covering a growing range of economic and financial topics.

And because economics education should not stop at a language barrier, resources are available across multiple languages, with EFI continuing to expand the content available to different audiences.

More than video

The Learning Center is also becoming a home for some of EFI’s most accessible economics publications.

Readers who are new to economics can explore Common Sense Economics, an introduction to how economies work that EFI makes available in multiple languages.

The Center also now features Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations: The Graphic Novel, offering a very different — and considerably more visual — way to discover some of Smith’s most influential ideas.

And this is only the beginning.

We will continue adding and improving resources so the Learning Center becomes an increasingly useful destination for students, teachers, journalists and anyone who wants to understand more about economics and the choices that shape our everyday lives.
