Economic Education Accelerator Expands to Three More Regions of Ukraine
Forty-one teachers from three regions of Ukraine have completed the latest Economic Education Accelerator, strengthening economics education for an estimated 7,000 students each year.
Economic Education Accelerator is a flagship professional development initiative of Bendukidze Free Market Center, and supported by EFI, designed to equip educators with innovative teaching methods, practical classroom resources, and a strong professional network to advance economic education in Ukraine. The participants represented experienced educators with a broad outreach potentially reaching around 7,000 students each school year.
The expansion to three new regions strengthened the growing network of educators committed to modern, student-centered economic education and laid the foundation for further collaboration within the Accelerator community.

The program also engaged many educators who had not previously participated in the Economics Olympiad or other BFMC initiatives, thereby expanding our educational community.
Teachers explored practical classroom techniques including AI-powered educational tools, game-based learning, and other interactive approaches they can immediately apply with their students.

Following the training, participants highlighted the practical nature of the sessions, immersive learning techniques, ready-to-use teaching resources, and opportunities to exchange experiences with colleagues as the most valuable aspects of the program.
The program received outstanding feedback:
- 100% said the training increased their awareness of active teaching methods.
- 76% believe it will significantly improve student engagement.
- 100% want to participate in future training.
- 85% requested additional BFMC teaching resources

One participant reflected on the value of the program:
“This is an opportunity to completely rethink and modernize teaching materials before the 2026–2027 academic year, while integrating leading European and global practices into Ukrainian vocational education and moving away from traditional lectures toward truly engaging learning.”
As the Economic Education Accelerator continues to expand across Ukraine, it is helping build a growing community of educators committed to making economics more engaging, practical, and relevant for their students.
